Ashtanga Yoga Urban Retreat with Laruga Glaser
Astanga Yoga Studio Copenhagen 14 - 20 April, 2022
Join Laruga Glaser for a comprehensive 7 days, discovering the multi-dimensional energy of the Ashtanga yoga practice; in addition to integrating both mindfulness and the art of movement, working seamlessly together.
Morning practice
Each morning will be devoted to yoga practice based on the traditional method of Ashtanga yoga. For the first class, Laruga will guide a Led Primary Series practice, and the other 6 mornings, will be centered on Mysore self practice under her attentive guidance.
During the Mysore practice, each practitioner will receive individual heartfelt support from Laruga, to enrich their personal practice with joy, sustainability and technical knowledge. This way a warm, loving and relational field will be created, where the capacity to listen inwardly broadens. Needs and boundaries are always honored, allowing each to look through the lens of curiosity to who we truly are.
Midt morning contemplation and philosophy class
In between morning and afternoon practices, Laruga will lead a yoga philosophy session, after chanting and meditation, followed by a group discussion.
Afternoon worksshops
The afternoon classes will be workshops going deeper into the foundations of the Ashtanga yoga practice including alignment, techniques and Asana refinements.
- All levels of students are welcome to join the retreat. Previous Ashtanga yoga experience recommended.
- Laruga is qualified to teach Primary, Intermediate as well as Advanced A & B series and can assist you wherever your practice is at the moment.

Laruga Glaser
Laruga has been practicing Ashtanga yoga continuously for over 25 years. Starting in the beginning of her 20s, she was immediately drawn to the practice after working with other forms of yoga years prior. After establishing a committed practice she then deepened her studies traveling to Mysore, India annually to practice at KPJAYI where the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois taught and now his grandson, R. Sharath Jois teaches. Laruga has made more than 14 trips to Mysore and is on a mission to continue to learn and grow as a student as well as a teacher. She is one of the few in the world who have been given the distinction of being certified to teach up to Advanced B, which is not easily given and takes many years to earn. Through it all, Laruga teaches as an act of deep sharing and love for what yoga develops in each individual, facilitating space to open, challenge, and inspire those to realize their inherent potential, and has been personally invited all over the world to do so.
